To achieve temperatures as low as -170°C without relying on liquid nitrogen, the Ultimate DSC-LT employs a cutting-edge device based on Stirling engine technology. This system uses mechanical oscillations to generate sufficient cooling power to regulate the temperature of the Ultimate DSC-LT.

As a result, the Ultimate DSC-LT can reach -170°C without the need for LN2.

A cooling finger transfers the cold to a specially engineered cooling plate, which is optimized to cool the volume of the DSC-LT furnace. This innovative setup enables precise temperature control from -170°C, whether in isothermal conditions or during temperature ramps—with no time limitations.
